Brow Design & Lamination

Mapping is the course. Everything else is technique.

Multi-day

Certificate of completion issued by Pao Boscán Academy, covering brow design, tinting and lamination. It is not a Texas licence: providing these services professionally in Texas requires a TDLR licence (for example Esthetician or Cosmetologist), and we will explain what applies to you.

What you will learn

Anyone can remove hair. The skill that clients pay for — and come back for — is knowing where it should not be removed from, and that is decided by mapping.

This course spends most of its time on reading a face: bone structure, eye width, natural arch, asymmetry, and how to design a brow that suits the person in front of you rather than the one on your phone. On top of that you will learn shaping by wax and tweezer, tinting and undertone matching, and lamination — including the part most courses skip, which is how to judge when lamination will damage the hair.

You practise on models, you are corrected as you go, and you leave with a mapping method you can repeat on any face.

1. Face reading and mapping
The measurement method, applied to a range of face shapes.
2. Asymmetry
Every face is asymmetric. How to design with it rather than against it.
3. Shaping technique
Wax and tweezer work, and which to use on which skin.
4. Tinting and undertone
Matching to hair and skin instead of reaching for a default shade.
5. Lamination
Timings, hair assessment, and how to recognise when not to laminate.
6. Consultation and client management
Getting approval on the map, and managing grow-out expectations.

Questions about this course

Can I take this with no experience?
Yes. Brows are a common first service and this course is built to be someone’s starting point.
Is lamination included or a separate course?
Included. Design, tint and lamination are taught together because in practice you will sell them together.
Do you cover threading?
This course focuses on wax and tweezer technique. Ask us about threading at your enrolment call.
Will I be ready to charge for brows afterwards?
You will have a repeatable method and supervised practice behind you. How quickly you build a client base is up to you, and the consultation module is designed to help.
