What you will learn

Permanent makeup is the most lucrative service in this industry and the one where a mistake stays on someone’s face. So this course is deliberately the slowest we teach.

Colour theory comes before machines. You will learn how undertone behaves in healed skin, why pigment shifts, how to correct rather than cover, and how to read a client’s skin before you mix anything. Then machine handling, depth control, needle selection, and the healing process stage by stage — including how to prepare a client for the days when it looks too dark and she panics.

Sanitation, consent, candidacy and knowing when to decline a client are taught as core curriculum, not as a footnote. You practise on latex, then on models, always supervised. Texas licensing and health-authority requirements for permanent makeup are separate from this certificate, and we will walk you through exactly what applies to you.

1. Colour theory and undertone
How pigment behaves in healed skin, and why it shifts when it does.
2. Skin assessment and candidacy
Reading skin type, and recognising when to decline the appointment.
3. Machine handling and depth
Needle selection, speed, angle and the depth that decides everything.
4. Powder and ombré brows
Building gradient and density that heals soft rather than solid.
5. Lip blush
Border correction, colour neutralisation and undertone matching on lips.
6. Healing and the perfecting session
Every stage, and how to prepare a client so she is not alarmed by any of it.
7. Sanitation, consent and documentation
Single-use protocol, consent forms, patch testing and record keeping.
8. Supervised practice
Latex first, then real models, corrected throughout.

Certification

Questions about this course

Do I need previous experience?
We strongly prefer it. Permanent makeup is not a first service. Talk to us before enrolling and we will tell you honestly whether you should start somewhere else.
Do I need a licence to work in Texas?
Permanent makeup is regulated separately from this certificate. We will walk you through the current state and health-authority requirements and what you need to do, but the certificate itself is not a licence.
Do I practise on a real person?
Yes, on latex first and then on supervised models. You are never left to work alone on a client during the course.
How soon can I start charging for this?
That depends on your licensing situation and on how your supervised work goes. We will be honest with you about readiness rather than pushing you out the door with a certificate.
Is financing available?
Yes, through Cherry, alongside Square and cash. Ask at your enrolment call.
